Welcome to my blog, as I explore the wonders of the Whoniverse. But first, an introduction.
I'm an eccentric schoolboy with a passion for all things to do with Doctor Who.
My fascination begun at the tender age of four, watching the Autons as they tried to invade earth and not surprisingly, it scared the life out of me. That particular episode heralded an introduction to a new kind of Doctor, a much darker, broodier Timelord then the ones that had gone before...and oh yeah, he had a Northern accent.
Christopher Ecclestone became the 9th Doctor after an absence of nine years, in an episode entitled 'Rose' which also featured a big toothed Billie Piper, who was soon to become his companion.
Since then, I have been a major fan of not just the modern episodes but also the ones dating back to William Hartnell (1963) and Peter Cushing in the 1965-1966 films 'Dr Who and the Daleks' and 'Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD'.
This blog will explore various themes, starting with the many faces of the Doctor and the numerous companions that accompanied the him on his many adventures through time and space. Through to the changing faces of such characters as The Master and K9, Spaceships featured, interior designs of the Tardis, aliens and monsters and much more.
Welcome to the blogiverse! I'm really looking forward to following your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mimi, i'm very excited about this blog. I'm obsessed with Doctor Who and can't wait to spread my knowledge on the subject.
DeleteAnd thank you for following.
Welcome to Cyberspace Who ever you are . . . . . .(WHO. AHAh hahhah hahahah hhah ha hah ah ahah hahh hah ah hahh haha ) sorry that is not a good start is it.
ReplyDeleteHello Rob, no it's not a good start, but it is a funny one. Thank you for following my blog.
DeleteIs it o.k. if I have no idea who Dr. Who is?
ReplyDeleteDon't answer that. Let me rephrase it.
I have no idea who or what Doctor Who is, but (and the but is the important part) I have been hearing alot about Doctor Who lately, and I even googled it the other day. I felt a bit out of the loop and was going to try to investigate. Then I link to your blog from your Mom's (Mum's) blog, and now I realize I must make it my mission to understand Doctor Who... Now is it a book? T.V. show? Movie? Uhhhhhhhh
Great job Lil Man! Good luck on your blog. ;)
Thank you JR.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who started off as a tv show in 1963 but there are also 3 films and over 200 books. He's a time travelling alien with 2 hearts but I will write more about the Doctor and who he is just for you.
Dr. Who seems to be a big thing amongst my daughter and her friends. I'm looking forward to learning from you so that I can follow their conversations.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your blog! It looks like you're off to a spectacular start! :-)
I have to confess I know nothing about Dr. Who so I will just have to let your blog be my teacher. You don't know me, I came here from your Mum's blog where she has also learned about my Demon Seed and The Devil's Advocate from my blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelly Ann. When I use to tell people that I was a Doctor Who fan, they would laugh. All they remembered was the wobbly sets, bad costumes and even worse acting. But with the 10th Doctor, it became really popular. I think it's great that it's doing so well in America.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry PDIAKH, I'm going to write a post all about the Doctor and where he comes from, for all those who know little about him.
DeleteThank you for following. My mum is the best. (She forced me to write that last part)
You know I can almost see her holding one arm behind your back and pulling on your hair until you wrote "My mum is the best", that's what I would do. Except I have two, exactly alike and I can't catch both at the same time so if I forced one to write something nice the other would just run to another computer and counteract what he said.
ReplyDeleteYou can just call me Shea, I know my blog title is a little long.
It's more the way she looks at me with evil in her eyes, that's scary.
